Paul R. Williams, EdD, Assistant Professor at Cleveland State University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education management.
With more than 55 years of professional experience, Dr. Williams has served as an assistant professor at Cleveland State University since 2006. In this position, he focuses on business development, organization development, school administration and leadership, and strategic planning. Alongside this appointment, he also holds the role of adjunct professor at such academic institutions as the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Western Michigan University. He commenced his career in the early 1960s as a teacher, administrator, and curriculum coordinator with the Chesaning Union School District.
To prepare for his illustrious career, Dr. Williams pursued a formal education, receiving a Bachelor of Science in music education from Taylor University in 1961, and a Master of Education in 1969 and Doctor of Education in 1980 from Michigan State University. A contributor of several articles to esteemed journals throughout his tenure, he has also been an author, coauthor, editor, and presenter of several publications.
In recognition of his exceptional accomplishments, Dr. Williams has accrued several accolades throughout his career. The recipient of the Leadership Award from the Beachwood Chamber of Commerce in 2009 and the Innovation Award from the Michigan Association of School Administrators in 1994, he was honored with the President’s Award by Battle Creek Chamber in 1990, the Winner’s Circle Award in 1990, and the Campaign Chairperson Award by United Way of Greater Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region in 1986. However, the highlight of his career has always been watching his family grow and succeed.
