A leading expert in the field of neuroscience, Dr. Ming has been a pediatric neurologist and neuroscientist with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey since 1997. In addition, she has served as a professor with the school’s department of neurology and neuroscience. Dr. Ming holds a medical license in the state of New Jersey and is certified in sleep medicine and with special competence in child neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.

Dr. Ming began her career as a student at Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University in China, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine in 1984. After relocating to the United States, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy in pharmacology with the Graduate School of Biomedical Research at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1991. Subsequently serving as a pediatrics resident with the State University of New York Upstate Medical University until 1993, Dr. Ming also held a fellowship in neurology and pediatric neurology with the Johns Hopkins Health System from 1994 to 1997 and a fellowship in sleep medicine with Seton Hall University JFK Medical Center from 2005 to 2007.

In recognition of her exceptional contributions to neuroscience, Dr. Ming was honored with the Golden Apple Teaching Award by Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2018. In addition, she has been named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd., every year from 2014 to 2017, as well as Kid’s Favorite Doc by New Jersey Magazine in 2014, 2015, and 2017. She also won the Best Professionals Award from Autism New Jersey, Inc., in 2004.
