Title: Adjunct Professor
Company: Pasco-Hernando State College
Location: Trinity, Florida, United States

Sharon L. Bellak, Adjunct Professor at Pasco-Hernando State College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mathematics education.

Becoming a mathematics educator was always in the books for Ms. Bellak. At a young age, she modeled her playtime with her dolls as if she was teaching a classroom. She followed her nature in this sense and pursued a career in education, driven by passion. With a career in academia spanning more than five decades, she has stood at the front of every classroom and  offered this piece of advice to the young minds she teaches; they can either choose a job, a career or a passion. She hopes all students follow their passions just as she has in life. Since 2009, she has taught at Pasco-Henando State College as an adjunct professor. She brought her decades of experience as a mathematics teacher with the Seven Springs Middle School, the Gulf Middle School and the Horace Mann Middle School to this position.

Ms. Bellak prepared for a career in education by earning a Bachelor of Arts from Capital University in 1969. Later that year, she started her career and became certified as a mathematics teacher for grades 5-12 and as a German teacher for grades 7-12 with the Department of Education. In addition to her current role at Pasco-Hernando State College, she is an algebra coach for the Pasco County School and a math coach for Mathcounts. She has maintained affiliation with the Florida Education Association. Looking toward the future, Ms. Bellak hopes to still be teaching and tutoring with the institution and sharing with students her tips and tricks.
