Margaret Clare Boadle-Biber, Professor Emeritus at Virginia Commonwealth University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in biophysics and physiology.
Dr. Boadle-Biber became involved in her profession 50 years ago because of her strong interest in science and biology. Driven by a hard work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile for any project she is working on, she has achieved success in her long career with Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to her work as a professor of physiology and biophysics, she also proudly served as chair of the college for 16 years, which she considers the highlight of her career, as she was able to influence and impact the institution from both an academic and administrative standpoint. Known for her passionate personality, she took on every opportunity that came her way to expand her knowledge and provide expertise to those seeking it. Additionally, she served as an instructor and research associate in the pharmaceutical department at Yale University School of Medicine.
A graduate of the University of Oxford, she credits her success to the foundation that her education has provided her. She holds a PhD, which was earned in 1967, as well as a Bachelor of Science, which she earned from UCLA in 1964. Now retired, Dr. Boadle-Biber remains at the top of her field through her memberships with the American Physiological Society, the Society for Neuroscience, The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and the American Society for Neurochemistry.
Throughout her career, Dr. Boadle-Biber has been recognized for her contributions. She has been listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who of American Women. Looking to the future, Dr. Boadle-Biber intends to continue in her work with the Virginia Commonwealth University while taking on new and exciting opportunities in her field.
