Irene Elaine Ford, ordained deacon and pastor at United Methodist Church, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in religious services.

Devoting her career to her unwavering faith, Ms. Ford was pastor of the Nessly Chapel of the United Methodist Church in New Cumberland, WV, from 1997 to 2007, having been with the church since 1983. Ms. Ford has also practiced as a pastor in multiple towns in the state of West Virginia, including the Graysville United Methodist Church in Moundsville, the United Methodist Church in Shinnston, and the United Methodist Church in Bristol.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Ford completed coursework at Duke Divinity School, West Virginia Wesleyan College, and Northern Community College. She was subsequently ordained as a deacon by the United Methodist Church in 1992. After her children graduated, Ms. Ford desired to build a stronger relationship with God, and through a vision, she found that her purpose was to share his missions and guidance, serving the poor, the sick, and the oppressed. She has since been a celebrated figure throughout the West Virginia area.

In recognition of her exceptional achievements and services, Ms. Ford was honored with the Marquis Who’s Who Humanitarian Award and has been named to Who’s Who of Professional Women. She is listed in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women.
