Charles A. Becker, B.S., Retired Adult Education Educator at Pueblo Community College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Culinary Education.
Retired in 2014, Mr. Becker served as a faculty member of hospitality studies and culinary arts at Pueblo Community College since 1985, after working as a manager for Greyhound Food Management in Wyoming since 1977. He has dedicated his latter professional years to passing on his experiences as a certified food management professional and as an education educator. Mr. Becker is a certified exam writer and reviewer.
An alumnus of Winona State University, Mr. Becker studied education and earned a BS in 1966. He values the strong family support he had from his mother and his two aunts, who were all teachers. Later in life, Mr. Becker was honored with membership in the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, and has held a seat with its committee for examination excellence since 2006. In his free time, he has also volunteered for the Democratic Party.
A recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, Mr. Becker has appeared in numerous volumes of Who’s Who in America as well as the 26th edition of Who’s Who in the World. As he looks back on his career, he hopes his peers will remember him as someone they could trust. Mr. Becker feels his career has taught him that he can learn something every day if he gives it a chance, and has endeavored to use his insight in helping others.
