Nuggehalli M. Ravindra, Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Physics.
Dr. Ravindra has held the chair of the department of physics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since 2009, and has consulted with Excel Superconductors since 1992. He is a member of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) which has produced many world-changing innovations in its esteemed existence. Dr. Ravindra received a 2015 Pro Bono Award from the New Jersey Section of the American Chemical Society for his ongoing research, and has appeared in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, and Who’s Who in the East.
Originally from India, Dr. Ravindra studied with Bangalore University to earn an honorary BS in 1974, followed by a MS in 1976. He was a research fellow and later a postdoctoral fellow with Roorkee University, after earning a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1982. Dr. Ravindra’s early career was in Europe, as a scientist with the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique in Paris, and later the International Center for Theory Physics in Trieste, Italy. He is currently the editor-in-chief of Emerging Materials Research from the Institution of Civil Engineers, and in his free time enjoys writing, editing books, journals, coin collecting, and collecting anything old.
