William Robert Sansalone, PhD, Educator and Retired Biomedical Researcher at Georgetown University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Biochemistry.
Dr. Sansalone was most recently the associate director for research development and a professor of biochemistry at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and has worked in the biochemistry field since first becoming a research assistant of the University of Connecticut in 1955. He is known for his many contributions to chemistry and medical literature, including three books on contemporary food and nutrition, as well as articles and monographs on the history of Southern New Jersey.
Dr. Sansalone is an alumnus of the University of New Hampshire and Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He served to the rank of first lieutenant with the U.S. Air Force, and was named Cavaliere della Repubblica Italiana of Rome, Italy in 1995. He is a member of numerous scientific societies, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and has appeared in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World. Dr. Sansalone is an accomplished dancer and sings with the St. Jane Frances de Chanta church choir.
