Fernando Magnago, PhD, Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Electrical Engineering.
Dr. Magnago teaches electrical engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto, and is known for his developments of several software packages for power system analysis. He is the author of “Electricity Market: Theory and Application,” and served as vice president of the IEEE from 2009 to 2009. Dr. Magnago was a recipient of a 1993 to 1994 British Council-Fulbright Scholarship, and later earned a PhD from the Texas A&M University in 2000. He has been featured in the 27th, 29th, and the 31st editions of Who’s Who in the World.
In high school and technical school, Dr. Magnago developed an interest in becoming an electrical engineer. After becoming a PhD, he worked from 2000 to 2009 as a software engineer for Nexant in Chandler, Arizona. He was selected for the 27th, 29th, and 31st editions of Who’s Who in the World. Dr. Magnago is currently working on convex hull pricing models, security unit commitments, and optimization algorithms for smart grids using artificial intelligence techniques.
